Someday I wanna play a non-violent Rally Mech game where you've still got tons of customization options and maneuvers and pilot skills, but the focus isn't on just kabooming the enemy.
Instead you'd really emphasize acceleration, movement types for different obstacles, a changing racecourse, corporate sponsorships (for special equipment in return for additional stunt demands or loadout restrictions), things like that.
Might work better for a video game but I could see it being an RPG or small-scale "war"-game on the tabletop, too.
