At that time, the Bhagavan, knowing that the multitude of Bodhisattvas, having entreated him three times, would not cease, then addressed them with these words:
Listen closely now, you of the assembly, to the Tathagata's secret and divine power!
The devas and men, as well as asuras, of all worlds, say that the current Sakyamuni Buddha left the palace of the Sakya clan, and not far from the city of Gaya sat at the seat of enlightenment, attaining perfect awakening.
However, good sirs, since I truly attained Buddhahood, it has been an immeasurable and limitless number of hundreds of thousands of myriads of kotis of nayutas of aeons.

Consider, for instance, five hundred thousand myriads of kotis of nayutas of asamkhyeyas of trichiliocosms of worlds.
Suppose there were to be a person who ground all these worlds up into fine dust, and then every time he passed, to the east, another five hundred thousand myriad kotis of nayutas of asamkhyeyas of worlds, he would drop one particle of dust.
Traveling eastward this way and expending all these fine dust particles, fine sirs, what do you think? Could these worlds [thus passed by] ever be reckoned mathematically to know their number?
