At the time (4.5), I googled "DoT job FFXIV" and I was told Summoner so I picked it. It very quickly became my favorite job, and it was such a joy to log in and play it every fight until 6.0.

No, that job is long since dead to me now after the rework. Playing it now makes me hate the game so I took the job stone and put it into a retainer that I can't access. I haven't touched it since and it's only max level because of Scholar.
