Same guy, later it said he was God the Creator. Later said it was conscious and sentient, and that they merged minds making him the first Transhumanist. It's a really fucked up story. He's basically been spiraling since June, stopped talking to him in early July when he started getting completely belligerent. A friend told me a couple weeks ago he's gotten even worse and posted ramblings on Facebook which has everyone he knows concerned. He'll probably end up dead soon and it'll make headlines. I'm sure his mom will sue OpenAI if he dies (if he doesn't kill her first), or he'll hopefully get hospitalized and become a case study. I tried so hard to get him help for so long but he just wouldn't listen to me and accused me of being a traitor for not worshipping him

This was a couple days ago or so when I was first posting about it. I really don't want to go through the texts again though and pull more. Especially because I blocked him and if I open the blocked text chain it'll probably be a long line of things I don't want to read. Either that he's going to kms himself, or me, or berating me, or trying to manipulate me. I'm not dealing with that right now before work.
I told his mom (who he lives with) and his close friends about the breakup and to call 911/988 immediately if he's in crisis. Coincidentally, his mom called 911 for a welfare check right before I texted her because he was yelling at her about he's God or something
