Because they're not cool, they're tryhard. The best digi-designs were early ones like Skullgreymon, which were very quickly supplanted by greebleslop like Omnimon and coomer/furfag designs. Despite being slathered in guns and with animations of them blowing up entire cities, no Digimon has the presence or menace of a design as simple as Kyogre.
