love me some black metal. simple as.
people will say it's cringe and gay and all that, and it is, but the catch is that when you have something like that it opens you up for actual sincere expression. the "cool" stuff, like macho cookie monster vocal bands are actually the lame ones because they stand behind a safe wall of faux macho tough guy bullshit. Yes, black metal is lame, but at least they're being sincere and exposing themselves. You don't get this in most other genres. Most of the time it makes for pretty bad music, but it also creates real gems.
