The whole depression arc was dumb
The flashback light referencing Danganronpa 1 and 2 made me seethe and call the game shit all the way until the fiction reveal. Tsumugi might be talented at cosplay, but she's a dogshit writer. During the ending in one of the nonstop debates when she says "This time the theme is the despair of a bad ending!" I misread it as "bad writing" instead until I heard it audibly.
On a meta level, works as a great defense because if something doesn't make sense it's now on purpose because Tsumugi sucks. YIIK does the same shit with muh unreliable narrator to cover up all the stupid shit, but that's another story for another time.
