Kirby is a huge franchise now and the direct was extremely well received in Japan, and the fanbase exploded with memes and hype, and even if I don't like it Sakurai's name carries hype with him. Only reason I see it doing lower than Forgotten Land is the install base, so maybe a 200k to 300k opening.
The question is if it will be a Pikmin situation where it only overperforms in Japan.
