I remember reading an anon talking about how Kogasa is more close to being some kind of a tsukumogami semi-deity given how independent from the umbrella she is and how she managed to sustain her existence through different means other than spooking people. Not sure how accurate that is but I thought it was pretty interesting. I should dig in the archives about it.
