Did you know that it is not legal to sell sparklers to those under 12. However, there is no form of ID a 12 year old can offer that would prove their age. What that means in practicality is that only adults with photo ID can buy sparklers, and anyone looking like they are under 25 will be challenged for ID (challenge 25) and sale refused if they cannot provide one. This is the bureaucracy in action.
