The entirety of Bridget's story miffs me to this day, on top of his Strive inclusion.
>comes from a village heavy on superstition
>parents get around this by forcing one of their sons to crossdress and make pretend he's a girl
>gets upsets at this and goes out into the world to prove he indeed a man's man
>by Strive, Bridget basically gives up and accepts the bullshit his parents put him through and now he's 'happier' for it
>the solution to all his problems is literally him going to the nearest clothing store and buying some jeans and a t-shirt instead of insisting on dressing like a fucking nun despite not being in his village anymore
I get it, the kid's worldview is naive and that's fine. Still you'd think the boy would eventually get tired of dressing like a girl after his parents made him put up with it and start wearing something else. Even if Bridget still acted effeminately it still would've been some form of growth to the character since visually it would've been clear he was working towards his goal. Nah, he just accepts the bullshit. Path of least resistance as they say.
