Wanking is to vastly exaggerate a character's powers and abilities.

The issue is that it misrepresents the character, and you're going to reach an interpretation that requires a lot of damage control. When your interpretation fails in 99% of the stories, then it's a worse interpretation than one that only fails in 10% of the stories.

Worse still is that your reliance on weak evidence makes others more confident in accepting the weak evidence they're inclined to push. And quality of debates just degrades over time.

Probably because you failed to adhere to their standards of decorum.

They don't want users like you that are just out to muddy the waters. They want debates that are comprehensive and convincing, because those are the only ones that are interesting.
