Still talks on the space weather forums about more potential solar flare activity from AR 4274. Which was immediately active as the Sun turned towards Earth, indicating it was likely active/formed on the far side in late October. C/2025 N1's perihelion was October 29th. More than likely a coincidence, but...

If you were an entity looking to approach a technological civilization, you might consider knocking out their power before you get within striking distance. I wouldn't blame them. I know our current cabal wouldn't willingly relinquish control. And they more than likely know this.

Not uncommon but super rare in general. Especially the X5+.

Be curious if we see additional flares within days of each other. All of these appear to originate from AR 4274, which may have been active on the far-side to be immediately active as it rotated towards Earth. I'd be curious to see if we can identify if C/2025 N1 was near where this would have had to form when it was "behind" the Sun during perihelion.
