She is maybe the most Mary-Sue character ever made. Who else? Mari Illustrious Makinami? Awful, but at least all of her god-strengths are focused: Pilot the Eva. Win the Shinjibowl. Kirino is just an absurd character, and her strengths are all weaknesses. Rather than developing her every new superpower becomes a diversion that just takes away from her ever being grounded in her own story.
