Are people forgetting the amount of Hotels, HMOs and Houses the government is paying for? Along with all amenities, food, clothing, GP, Dental, cash stipends, heating, phone, and everything else I can't think of? Do people think it costs nothing?
Not to mention all the extra policing, the cost for Border force to ferry them daily sometimes 3-4 times a day, the buses on stand-by at Dover, all the staff ready to welcome them, the Ambulance that is on stand-by to give them a health check, all the buildings, all the security all the contracts to charities like Care for Calais, to the RNLI to cover funding gaps from lack of public donations, (yes the government gives charities contracts in the hundreds of millions to each)
Add to the 570,000 bureaucrats/ civil servants, 1million+ working in the NHS and on and on and on.
It's any wonder the country isn't bankrupt already.
