Currently replaying Hollow Knight before diving into Silksong and man, I forgot about all the unfair and unfun bullshit that plagued this game
Enemy AI that has perfect spacing to stay out of your range while threatening a counterattack, minuscule attack range without charms, corpse runs for no reason, extremely delayed heal that's basically impossible to use in a fight, cancerous enemies you can't ignore placed between checkpoints and bosses, twitchy enemies that suddenly jump around without a windup or tell, the fact that you barely have i-frames at all so you can get comboed over and over, etc.
For a game about exploration they sure make the exploration fucking annoying
