Interestingly enough, there is a prophecy both from and specific to the Church in China.
It is prophesied that they will be the ones to successfully carry the Good News of Jesus Christ back to Jerusalem.
Make of that what you will, but there it is, and the Chinese are still sending out missionaries from independent home churches.
They mean to get it done.
