It took a while to dry, but my 3 ant farms are done now.
Left is the aliexpress farm for 20€
Middle is a DIY ytong nest for ~8€
Right is a DIY grout nest for ~10€
Happy with how each of them turned out. Frankly, if you aren't interested in DIY, the bought nest is pretty good for the price, but the DIY route is super cheap and easy too. Just don't buy the expensive nests, those cost in the 60-200€ range and are a ripoff.
