Really enjoying these. Here are the solutions to the first few, as well as I can ascertain them:
> 1. The author switched on all the lights, then someone switched them back off, then the author turned them back on again without noticing.
> 2. How did the author know what human meat tastes like? He's the creep in this story, not the friend.
> 3. The bookshelf is against a corner, but the author sees someone looking at him from behind it. Yikes!
> 4. The author killed and dissected his roommate for his exam.
> 5. The author is a monster or some other visibly-scary apparition. He's what scared the woman in the elevator.

> 6. The author killed his little brother by giving him a boiled sweet, which he choked on because he was an infant.
> 7. The author knows what the murder weapon is before the police do, because he is the killer who used it.
> 8. The author's wife died in April, but made a journal entry in May. She's a ghost!
> 9. The author was imprisoned for killing his family, and is now living with their corpses.
> 10. The author forgot to lock his door, but comes back home to it being locked from the inside. The killer is still in the house and will likely kill him when he goes to bed.
I'll read on and see if I can puzzle out any others.
