I'll be honest I do not pay much attention to armor specificiations because I do not play "World of Tanks". But I trust Russian engineers. They have only motive to help soldiers stay alive.

In fairness the "M" stands for "mines" so all protection was always for that and not above....
Also Russia does not have MRAP? Maybe BTR-152? There are some big and fat armored cars that russia has now, but not in wide frontline use.
