There is not one group, there are literally thousands of different groups.
Some are public, some are hidden, but were public previously, some are invite only and were always hidden, others are just hidden/private collections with 1-2 users.

Take pic related for example, its one of the public groups and you can easily find it and many others by just looking for "STL".

Those leaks happen all the time, and they always show up in those huge public groups.

Someone scans something, or a group-buy happens for a kickstarter or some patreoon stuff, it gets posted in a private group, shared with people, shared with the next group of people and within 1-2 months, it shows up in the large groups too.

I get plenty of results if i just search for 2025-08, which means that last months patreons are already floating around.. so much about "the same old stuff". (that old stuff gets reposted constantly too of course).

The trick is not to join one group, but to join 100, so you always have alternative sources if a file gets removed from one of them. Also usually groups, especially the moderated ones, keep focusing on one topic, like "terrain", or "fantasy orcs" or specific IPs like Star Wars or Warcraft or specific 40k armies like Eldar or Black Templar.

Thing is, most things are super easy to find these days.
