I use it. It works for me. I probably wouldn't use it if I wasn't still in uni.
The alternatives (zettlr, logseq, notion, joplin, TriliumNext, Siyuan) all fell short in some way and did a worse job (zettlr coming the closest in my opinion).
I only use obsidian for "permanent" notes though, for daily planning, random thoughts etc, I use a paper notebook with a bullet-journal adjacent approach.
