Why do Hispanicists from Latin America piggyback on the success of Spain's legacy rather than bring up what they have contributed as Latin Americans?
They talk about how they are more qualified as Greco-Romans than the Anglo-Germanics, but what else have they done to continue that Roman legacy besides being ruled by a bunch of Romance-speaking Catholics? Are they just taking out their grievances against the Anglos?
I've even heard of some Brazilians involved in the Hispanicism movement; they don't speak Spanish ffs.
For the record, I find Hispanicism based only when European Spaniards do it.
