Glocks do look cool, but the ergonomics of the Shield are infinitely better.

I've got a Plus as well. The trigger safety thing gets better after a shitload of pulls, I just sat there and did it while watching videos etc. I found that it helps to find the point where it'll just barely break with a bunch of pressure and pull it there over and over again since you're basically trying to wear the manufacturing burrs/flash off that corner of the safety where it meets the frame. Some people have skipped that and just filed it down but that scares me, and I've gotten mine to the point where I'm much more comfortable carrying it, I have to intentionally position my finger too high to make it engage now. The other option is just to get an aftermarket trigger and eliminate it completely.

I'm considering getting a Shield X to replace my G19, I'd managed to get comfortable with the Glock's brick ergonomics until I got the Shield Plus and now I'm back to feeling totally awkward with it. The X seems like an ideal replacement, the slim grip of the Shield but with G19 barrel and grip length and 15rds, along with a rail, optics mount, etc. Only real downside is the expensive mags, wish Magpul or somebody could make $12 plastic mags like Glock gets but idk if it's doable without losing capacity on the Shield.
