Multiple governments spam here, as do videogame companies shill thanks to /v/ launching notch and Minecrafts beginnings and plenty of animators have been proven to shill/post on /co/. You get actors/athletes occasionally but not really in the last decade+ because they're more traditional media and less edgy.
That's the issue it's inorganic. The places that had organic discussion like /sp/ got stomped out completely, because you'd have actual pizza spammers 24/7 to the point nobody wanted to discuss shit anymore.
The other last prong is just how many people are using the Internet today.
