i played fes and i loved it
i played reload and i loved it
both have redeeming qualities to make up for their minor shortcomings but holy fuck oldsona fags will call you a braindead soulless slop eating zoomer for not especially caring that one (1) line changed or that the game looks different, and nusona fags will say youre a jaded nostalgiacuck that hates improvement if you say you like tactics or the older versions of the tracks more. it cant ever be that you simply like the version you played first it always has to be some utterly inane battle of nonexistent wits over why you are objectively wrong for enjoying version b instead of version a. FUCKING HELL

Well first off I’d say you should find time to play/watch both off your own accord if you haven’t already, since I think they deserve all the praise they get. But in case you don’t give a fuck, I’ll try to list all the ones I can off the top of my head:
>Loner protagonist that copes with music. Also while P3’s is in the very beginning and NGE’s is somewhere in the early episodes, both are shown listening to music on a train.
>Makoto’s Persona awakening where it goes berserk before reverting to its previous state is an echo of Unit 01 going berserk during Shinji’s first mission.
The Boss Shadows are just the Angels, attacking in a predictable pattern and requiring different strategies to defeat them. As a plot twist, it turns out that defeating them actually furthers a malicious agenda, and the highschool mercenaries were being used as pawns.
>Rei and Aigis. Come on.
>Both have a potential mass extinction as the ultimate stakes of the story, which are both framed as self-inflicted by humanity’s wishes.
>Kaworu and Ryoji, both characters who appear out of nowhere with an attachment to the protagonist, and turn out to be vital for the malicious events at play (and subsequently lament their roles)
