Altcoin is not a measure of quality. Everything but bitcoin in an altcoin. Everything but an utility coin is a meme coin. Those are objective descriptions, not judgements on quality/viability/rentability etc. That's what the term shitcoin is for.
Is ETH an altcoin? It is not BTC so yes. Does it have utility? Yes. So it is an utility altcoin. So is LTC has utility and its own ecosystem, so it is an untility altocoin like ETH.. Doge has no utility so it is a memecoin. All of them performed respectably so none of those are shitcoins.
