At the start of covid everyone bought all the peanut butter, grape jelly, and toilet paper, the three things everyone needs if a respiratory infection is going around. I found black currant preserves on the shelf. I'm American so I had never had black currants before. In the US there was some insect going around like a hundred years ago so now we're only starting to get black currants again. Turns out I got the kind the Queen of England ate before her life was tragically cut short in that BASE jumping accident. There was a royal warrant under the lid. We also don't have royalty in the US but it turns out a royal warrant doesn't make the police arrest any royalty. The preserves were very good. I always liked fruit preserves more than jelly anyway.
