Please don't hate them. Gender dysphoria IS a real mental illness, it's on the DSM, and has a very high rate of suicide. They attempt "gender transition" as an alternative to feel better in their body rather than commit suicide.
Yes, we know this doesn't really work and only a tiny tiny percentage pass at all, unfortunately the trans community love bombs them with encouragement even though there is no hope it's going to work at all and the results are often so discouraging that they commit suicide anyway.
The best we can do is look away and keep quiet and not push the buttons that will make them do it. Or as we were all taught growing up, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. Just a suggestion. You don't want to be mentioned by name in anyone's suicide note.
In short, if you have no positive contribution at least try to leave them alone, don't look at their horrible pictures or say mean things on their posts. Yes I know they tend to attention whore and try to force people to look at them and encounters can be very unpleasant but please do your best not to be mean, I'm just requesting. All that is asked of you is to avoid saying the mean thing that you don't need to say.
There is a chance they'll get better and stop the charade, and try to salvage their life... but not if they are dead. Please don't push people who are already on the edge and ready to fall off, and if you do, please understand that you have that person's life in your hands and your words may indirectly kill them.
