Y'know, that really takes me back. Before AoT was finished and determined to be shit. Actually, before season 2 even, everyone was absolutely rabid for a video game to capture the experience of slaying titans in omni-directional gear. There was a flash game that did it fairly well but didn't really have any depth, and I think it got sued to oblivion. And then finally much later the PS4 game came out and it absolutely nailed it, and was the closest thing to Spiderman PS2 movement in 10 years and it was great. For like 10 hours, and then in order to make the game engaging they just introduced fairly tedious and resistant titans to slay and dumb looking gorilla titans.

And then two years after that Spiderman PS4 came out and the entire appeal was forgotten overnight.
