JRPGs are derived from the successful features of the older branch of WRPGs (like Ultima, Wizardry,Might and Magic) , that actually told stories and had cool settings instead of adding retarded features into a game and compound them into a buggy barely playable mess that only the most autistic of cretins can enjoy.

WRPGs are barely playable past the OGs like Ultima, Wizardry and the like. Their stories suck dick and have zero cohesion. The combat is fucking ass 99% of the time because it's over-complicated to make the game seem deep and generally are unfun.

I'm more of an action-adventure type of guy, but I can at least appreciate some JRPGs and enjoy them moderately despite some of their shortcomings like turn-based combat. Outside of the original bunch of JRPGs made by Origin, Sir Tech and other pioneers, all WRPGs just come off as over-complicated, undercooked messes of games. Only mentally ill retards think they're good (which is why the Fallout, Elder Scrolls and other later WRPG threads are filled with the most autistic specimens I've ever seen). It's a joke genre and it's reflected in the fact that even the devs of such games casualize the shit out of them nowadays.
