I will explain my idea here as best as I can, even tho I'm ESL:
I'm a purgatorial universalist, catholic, because I think it's the most coherent theological position to hold. But I admit to myself, if I believed in "full-on infernalism" ie; including damned infants like St gregory did, I wouldn't be able to be a catholic.
Gregory become pope and saint WHILE believing it- the belief wasn't enough to shake his faith. in God- thats why, in actuality, i deeply think he's a super powerful saint.
