At this point in time, it's kinda dumb to write robotic dialogue for a robot character.
In real life, we've already given computers the ability to speak naturally. It's no longer a futuristic sci-fi concept; it's mundane at this point.
Designing a futuristic bipedal humanoid robot and then making her speak in an emotionless voice and say things like "Cognition module unstable...attempting to refresh." just feels stupid, because present-day technology is already capable of much more natural speech.
Once we begin to see domestic robots hit the market, I'm pretty sure even the first generation of them will have comfortable, smiling faces instead of apathetic robot faces, so even giving a robot an emotionless face is already unrealistic and poor writing.
We're getting closer to commercial humanoid robots and artificial general intelligence with every passing day. This old-fashioned robot dialogue is already extremely dated, but with each passing year it's only going to get more and more dated until it's just laughable.
