Reading a text that goes all across the screen is harder than if there are newlines, though that's different on a phone of course. I have a bad habit of writing long run-on sentences so I sometimes try to actively avoid it. Others don't really use punctuation here either, perhaps I should take to using punctuation in longer posts and eschew it for shorter ones.
