It's pretty funny that it happened but it was really also people embracing the whole Nuiclub subculture and everyone posting pics of it. Hard to imagine GKP without those nuis these days.

Just ignore that this possibly stems from the younger Japanese generation as a whole being always told to make more babies but the whole system and economy doesn't allow it thus things like pets, VTubers, etc are used as a sort of escape to fuel that years of subconscious need for a child.
