Yeah, I've repainted a few of my older Ork models. When I decided to not make my blues look like crap (old scheme was basecoat + drybrush with necron compound and looked awful) I had around 1000 points of Orks that I went over with my new blue scheme to bring them in line with the rest.
I will never touch my first model and unit though. Those are sacred.

You can see my old blue (battlewagon) and new blue (tankbustas) in pic related. Funny enough, that trukk has been repainted 3 times, all without stripping, while I figured out what to do with my blue.
