Those are all good points.
It also brings up the thing where in the end of the day this is smut and authors should treat it as such. Of course there is well written smut and then there's bottom of the barrel trash smut. But authors should keep in mind that most people reading these stories are reading with one hand, and the wedgies should be the stars. As this thread has mentioned, there are novel length stories out there now. And although they are better narratives than most, I'd argue that they're not nearly as good smut content. Take triad9, his short stories are probably much better goon material for most. You can use a wedgie story as a framework to write a great coming of age story, but your average guy just looking for material to jack off to doesn't want to read thousands of words before cotton is finally exposed. So there's a nice catch 22 in there. Personally I much prefer stories where I actually like the characters, makes everything better. But I'm also an avid reader in general.
And the level of bullying itself can range so far within the community. Like me personally, I like to keep it cartoony, PG13 is that sweet spot. Other people want the girl to get stripped and fucked and all that and make it basically a bdsm book with the main character practically traumatized daily. So you're writing for a niche within a niche and the group of people that are looking for exactly that is tiny. Put in all that effort for a hundred favorites and five comments on deviantart.
I wish this community was more supportive of new writers. But unfortunately it's mostly unhelpful criticism "this sucks bro". Or basically just a request they spam on every story that's not terrible. "Love your story dude. But maybe next time you can have them pants her and spank her with a 3.5 foot bamboo stick while singing London bridge, also she should be this anime girl I like"
Side note. Anyone who uses the words "two pale moons" should have their hands cut off.
