I noticed that so many of these manga have a strong start, and then just kinda fizzle out after the first arc or so.
Otr had a somewhat promising start, only to immediately kneecap its momentum with a training arc
Kiyoshi had a pretty charming premise about an OP main character trying to be normal, and then it just kinda became another battle shonen
When I think back to the recent Jump manga that caught my interest, there was always some secondary "hook" between chapters 10 and 20 that made sure they kept my interest.
With Kagurabachi, it was the second Sojo fight.
With Ichi the Witch, it was the introduction of the World Hater Majik.
With Centuria, it was the twist in chapter 12 that Diana is the child of prophecy and she's destined to bring the kingdom to ruin
With Hero Organization, it was the Gun Dog arc since it cemented that the manga was going to be about intrigue and geopolitical instead of MHA 2.0
With Green Green Greens, it was the golfing match between Yaesaki and Oga (Honestly one of the best WSJ series in recent memory. Shame it got axed)
