Controversial, but I like the ending with just Nora and Swann the best.
I think it really balances out the sweet and the bitter the best. Plus for a Snora path, it just seems like such a nice little coda to that relationship.

Something that makes zero sense give the genre that LiS 1 is. Max being "bi" was just a product of the time that the game came out + some latent lesbophobia from the cishet male writers (to say nothing of Square themselves).

Thankfully it is something they addressed with Swann. Effectively just a redo of Max, just done far better and without repeating those sorts of horrible mistakes.

It is objectively true. While LR does have some weak spots (Autumn mainly), overall the characters and story just blow LiS 1 out of the water.
That is to say nothing of the romances. Snora alone is basically a long form example of every single area where pricefield failed.

Irrelevant.
LR is a game about vibes, emotions and character relationships. It is not about some big story that is constantly pushing everything forward and it is better off for that.
It is closest to the first 3 (the best received) episodes of LiS 1 in style and I love that it is.
You may prefer the poorly received final 2 episodes of LiS 1 with its god awful story interfering with everything enjoyable about the game, but that is on you and it is not what LR was going for.
