As an artist, I can appreciate it does have an impact, the same way a lot of freelance was farmed out to Fiverr in recent years. At the same time, there are artists I like who don't take commissions, or retired years ago, so I simply couldn't get a new wancozow image any other way.

I used to do a lot of screenshot redraws and edits for r, aco and h, and what was twenty minutes of masking and noise filters is six seconds to look seamless, so to me using it like that saves me effort.

And I agree from working with clients that what you produce (or even what's possible) is rarely what they've pictured in their minds, and that's not great for either party. I can get as picky or detailed as I like, and I'm just wasting processor time instead of billable hours.

Oh yeah, scale is inconsistent, even with thousands of reference images details are off, if you need more nuance than happy or scared expressions you're boned, the innate "averaging" of image novelty, I could go on with frustrations I've run across in just the last year.
