they're not wrong in paragraph 1. in paragraph 2 they're assuming an import economy that's unbalanced. in paragraph 2, we can see that China does not have a complete understanding of American sovereignty. Darius II of Persia was the first king that used domestic gold production to purchase imports.. those imports were then sold into the Persian economy at unbelieveable low prices.. in other words, the luxury of the Persian people was actually being paid for... so i think that China, at least right now, isn't really ready to deal honestly with a lot of the historical precedent that's going on in the world, and how those older stories carry on today. they really do.
