Is this student loan debt? GenZ getting taught "financial literacy" (at least by boomers) oddly messed them up so hard I can't tell. They think they need to begin investing into stocks and retirement IMMEDIATELY and they're also taught that it's not bad to be in debt at the same time. Oh and they think their savings interest rate needs to be skyhigh because 6% is the rate used in the classroom so they go for a non-FDIC-insured savings account nobody would've considered 20 years ago. Then their parents talk smack instead of giving them the normal advice anybody would offer: Only put your money in FDIC-insured accounts.
