I love American cars. I have noticed some build quality issues in late model large SUVs which, for the sticker price, should be top quality fit, finish and materials. GMC/Chevy SUVs were fantastic from the late 90s through the beginning and of covid, but they do appear to be slipping a bit.
On the other hand, I recently purchased a used Volvo SUV after 3 straight Chevys. I’m literally in love with this Volvo. This is an amazing vehicle and is SO well made. Every detail obsessed over. The tightest specs you can imagine. Simply brilliant engineering. Finest quality materials (very little rust after like 12 years in New England). Incredible performance…it no joke handles like a Porsche or S class Benz. The gearing ratios are ideal. Perfect ergonomics. A lot of people complain that they’re hard to work on. Not at all. If you’re high IQ, the Volvo design makes perfect sense and you can quickly start to anticipate what they have done to solve a given problem with component configuration.
Hats off, Volvo. I am a loyal American, but I cannot help giving credit it is merited.
The Volvo XC 90 4,4 V8 Sport edition is one of the finest automobiles I’ve ever driven. I’d written Volvo off as a grandpa go slow many years ago.
If you guys can find one of the V8 models with the dual exhaust, jump on it. But bot if you can’t work on cars. Volvos are very expensive to work on and your local yokel will refuse them. But if you do know your way around an engine and are bright, you will find yourself in awe of Swedish engineers.

Even so, it would be hard for me to buy a brand new car that wasn’t American. On 2nd thought, I’m going to start being a globalist like they want, but in favor of my tribe — white people. My long held vision is to fuse all western white peoples all over the world into a single civilization. That’s how you do globalization and make a success of it. Pay attention, Jews. I’m trying to teach you something. Volvo it is!
