one of my high school english teachers was johnathan nolan's surfing buddy, for almost a decade iirc. he mentioned about talking with him about the script for TDK but i dont remember any of the details of that as a 15 year old listening to my teacher ramble on. he moved back here from LA and became a debt collector for while and quit after having a gun pointed in his face several times. what i do remember he made a film in community college or high school or some shit on VHS about some nutjob outcast here whose house burned down and the firefighters wouldn't do anything about it because it was filled with like 50 thousand rounds of ammunition, wish i could find that on youtube. anyways he quit a few years later because black kids kept having fist fights in the middle of class.
