Iirc someone at some point (Amir maybe, I can't remember) said that this episode was originally sort of supposed to be at the end of last season, so no plot kind of makes sense. A kind of, let's wrap up what happened and introduce what's coming episode. If it was planned as such, Viv probably just used what she'd written and tweaked it to be the first episode of season 2.
>should I kill my wife?
I hate this, it's so forced, and didn't need to be repeated like 5 times.

Valentino literally hits Angel with a yaoi paddle. Like, it's not funny but it's presented as if it's supposed to be? I adore how evil Val is. I love him doing these heinous things, but Viv and her team are so inconsistent with how they want us to take it. It's like she doesn't want her characters to be hated, so she has to give them these 'funny' moments as a way to endear them to fans. Val was always going to be hated by her fanbase because of what he does, suck it up and make him entertaining to watch instead of pandering.
