Im not defending the USSR or anything like that. Im just saying that without changing the core of human nature, you will always face the same crises over and over again in your attempt to build a society based on "rainbows and sunshine for all."
The core problem is that the resources on our planet are not endless, and expansion like building colonies or killing hundreds of millions of Native Americans, Chinese, Indians, etc. is no longer a viable option.
