IDK what kind of person you are, but I find learning about religions to be fun and it's actually how I became Christian. But the important thing to remember is that we don't 'hate' gays. Gay sex is a sin, but so is masturbating to porn. The point is you have to repent, and try and abstain from sin in favor of virtue. Jesus we believe 'fullfilled' the law (the law like stoning homosexuals for example) and offered himself up instead, we just have to believe, and love God and his creation (thats you and me!)
