Honestly I feel like making ships canon just sucks all the fun out of them. I wouldn't feel compelled to make fan content for a ship that already has a set in stone dynamic that gets explored in canon because it's just redundant and boring. I don't know why youngins in fandom are so obsessed with it

Also wanna add that as someone who ships Alastor with damn near everyone, I'd rather none of them become canon. However, if viv went out of her way to have the ship she doesn't like (which is one most definitely involving the deer) get shit on in universe, I'd be pretty put off
