Yes you can.
Next time just dice it fine as you can then use the flat of a knife to smear it, like buttering bread. It'll smoosh into a paste. Bonus points if you toss it in a frying pan and cook it a lil bit first with some olive oil. Nuke a knob of butter in the microwave for 20-30 seconds, mix that with the garlic paste, slather your bread, cook, eat. Easy peasy.
Also recommend a sprinkle of a hard cheese in between the slices of the bread if your cooking it as a loaf, my personal choice is Pecorino.
