I went back to the topic of F-47, to see if there are any updates.
And everything seems hysterical and paradoxical.
Apparently Lockheed have been secretly flying it since 2020.
Even though they lost the bid and the contract was awarded to Boeing.
There are no actual datapoints (also, the figure for F35A is about 80nm more than the real radius).
Everything is communicated as "will have XX", and range is 1000nm+, top speed is mach 2+ and so on.
All of this indicates that it hasn't flown yet, so they don't know.
And all they have are design goals.
The ADVENT engine (in particular the XA102/103) doesn't exist yet.
>Critical design review of the XA103 was completed in February 2024, and flight testing is expected to begin in the late 2020s.
Meanwhile China is churning out a third 6th gen fighter.
Still no pics either.
